NDIS coverage for mental health under the microscope

Frank Quinlan, CEO of the MHCA, talks with Fran Kelly, ABC Radio National about the questions remaining about how mental health services will be integrated into the NDIS.

“As the National Disability Insurance Scheme is being rolled out at several launch sites around the country, questions still remain about just how mental health services will be integrated into the system.

Under the existing legislation, the scheme provides support for people who experience a psychosocial disability associated with a mental illness.

Later today, those working in the mental health sector will meet in Melbourne to discuss what that decision means for the sector and for those living with mental illness.”
