On behalf of the Board of the Dietitians Association of Australia, it is my pleasure to announce that Mr Robert Hunt has been appointed as the new CEO of DAA. Many of you will know that Robert has been filling the role in an interim capacity since the 21st of May. Indeed some of you may have met Robert at the DAA conference in Sydney where he was getting familiar with the organisation prior to commencing. Robert is a CPA by background and has previously been CEO of St John Ambulance Australia and the Australian Institute of Building. Robert has previously held the role of Deputy Chief Executive – Business and Corporate Services for the Australian Medical Association.
I would like to thank all of the applicants for this vitally important position. The selection panel were blessed with being able to choose from a diverse and very well qualified group of applicants. Robert has been employed on a 3 year contract. I would like to again thank our former CEO Claire Hewat for her work in growing the organisation into what it is today. The Board are excited and looking forward to working with Robert on progressing our new Strategic Plan and working with you on writing the next chapter of our great organisation.
Regards
Phil Juffs, AdvAPD
President
