Submission to the Joint Standing Committee on the National Disability Insurance Scheme into the provision of services under the NDIS for people with psychosocial disabilities related to a mental health condition

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has great potential to improve the lives of people with psychosocial disability associated with mental illness.  It will provide access to the supports they need to aid recovery and to live meaningful and contributing lives.  Implementation of the NDIS has presented a range of policy and operational issues for people with psychosocial disability.  Mental Health Australia has made recommendations about how these issues can be overcome.
