Submission on Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Declaration Draft Implementation Plan
Mental Health Australia congratulates Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Australia on the development of this Implementation Plan, and is pleased to contribute this short submission for consideration. This submission highlights the role of non-government community mental health organisations as key partners in delivering the actions outlined by the Plan, along with the range of stakeholders already identified, and provides suggestions to further strengthen integration and accountability.
Mental Health Australia looks forward to working with Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Australia to support enactment of this Implementation Plan to improve access to culturally safe mental health services and improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes for First Nations peoples.
